Ain't no Jesus in Snowtown, detective.
One of the best parts of BG is how you can win difficult battles in one of two ways :
•
unlimited reload spam
•
simple change of tactics
On my first playthrough, the former was the only way that occurred to me. However, I realize the beauty of BG is you can use so many different techniques besides luck to win battles.
[BG1 spoiler below]
For example, in BG1 there is this badass mercenary named Greywolf in Ch3 that f-'s you up if you choose to fight him. Recently, someone mentioned casting a single level 1 spell "Blind" on him renders him completely defenseless to ranged weapons.
This kind of thinking totally changed my perspective on the whole game and now I love replaying just to find different ways to approach different battles.
